Default 993TT spark plug change

Hi all,
Any help would be welcome on how to change the spark plug on cylinder #6.
I removed the wheel and muffler but it appears that to remove the sheet metal shroud, the muffler/turbo bracket has to be also removed?
Is this the correct way to approach this or is there a better method?

Thanks
Stu

There is a small access panel near that plug on the fender well area that you need to remove to gain access. Have a look, it's there.

There are two bolts holding in the access panel. One is clearly visible. The second is very hard to reach. You pretty much have to remove the second one blind. It is on the top of the panel and you might need a wrench with a swiveling head and an extension. I was lucky my friend had this special wrench that swiveled and had an extension bar. My advise to you, is when you remove the second bolt, leave it off. The access panel can be held in place by the singular bolt. Good luck. Don't get frustrated.

there are 3 bolts on the access panel. One allen bolt on the engine case and two into the tin.

The most forward bolt is vertical and a biatch to get to.

In my experience your best bet is to remove the wheel, and go through the subframe/suspension arms with a normal open ended wrench

Thanks guys, excellent advice from all.
I found the panel and removed no probs but I did remove the turbo air tube for better access and then discovered it had tons of oil in it!
Oh well maybe time to upgrade with some K16/24s

How long should a spark plug change take a quailified indy shop? I'll probably need my plugs changed in about a year. I have a little over 20,000 miles on the current plugs.
