I hope someone knows what they are getting and brings it back to the fold, if not to garage queen. And sorts out the history for the future buyers. I hate to see any TT neglected, but especially a SY example.

better budget for a motor rebuild and new cats...... as shoots oil from the exhaust upon a brief motor start up

there is also a mileage discrepancy....

I think it may sell in excess of 50k.
Well I guessed this one pretty close. I am sure richardl will get it sorted and we may even see it for sale in the not to distant future.

Not sure how great a deal unless the buyer is a master mechanic! Good luck to him. That's about what I paid for mine (only with 51K miles!)

who bought it ? richard sloan ?

that was the weirdest auction i've ever seen. looked like each bid place had an 8 minute period to get outbid....if not high bidder wins

sounds like a good candidate for some sort of 3.8 kit

I kept a close eye on that car and considered bidding on it. After speaking with the auction house in regards to the engine problems, it sounded as if it just had a bad turbo which is a pretty easy fix. The mileage discrepency was due to the kilometers vs. miles as the car was brought in from Canada. Once brought into the states the speedometer was replaced.

according to the good ole boy GA network. when they tried to to start the car, oil was shooting out of the exhaust. not sure if there was a ton of engine noise......at which point it was quickly shut down.

the car was inspected and the repair estimate was $15k or so.

And, that is best case scenario. For that kind of money you could find a solid example.
