I don't think there's any harm bumping an old thread when a jaw-dropping car like this is the subject. Not sure how I missed this 1st time around.
Truly stunning car Sir. Very nice collection of rare Porsches. I admire your taste.

New Wheels
The OEM GT2 Speedline wheels have become extremely scarce, and since the set on the car is in as-new condition, I decided to put them in storage for now. I purchased BBS E88s from Dave at Wheel Enhancement last year, but it is only now that I have been able to take photos. Aesthetic preferences aside, I believe the E88s are lighter, stronger - and definitely far, far easier to replace. Enjoy the pix.

Carlos,
Saw your 993 at arc? Given the last shot I think I know where your Porsche museum is, by Zobel's estate?
Just a pinoy admirer.... Unbelievable collection, speechless!
mabuhay!

FORGED Speedline for Porsche Wheels..... OR
A Big Thank You to Jim D!
As some of you know the 993 GT2's came with magnesium wheels, very light but subject to cracking from potholes or hard use. In some cases wheels would look great, but would have unseen cracks, so much so that some buyers would x-rays wheels as part of the inspection. While mine were still perfect I put them in storage as they are impossible to find these days, and put on BBS E88's. Very light and very strong, and easily replaceable, but for me they never came close to the "Speedline" look.
Over two years ago Jim D. and I started a conversation on building a forged set of custom Speedline wheels for the GT2, and soon after we decided to make a go of it, despite the obvious issues especially around sourcing best of class parts, and CNC machining. After many challenges, including some personal ones, Jim delivered in spades, as he always has.
It has been a very impressive show of commitment, craftsmanship, and personal integrity from Jim.
Thank you Jim!
PS - Photos for the 993 RS forged set - in Stahlgrau - as soon as I can take them
