So, which state won't register this commuter car?

http://inventory.racperformance.com/...-Texas/110715/

BTW, the detail on this motorcar says 702 hp.

My guess is California ... very strict emission laws

Amazing car. I have seen it many times. However, it is no road car. One reason is that it is so low that you couldn't even get it out of the driveway.

I have heard that you can't register any RUF VIN cars in California. Is this true?

Actually I don't believe they can be registered in the UK either. I remember a long PH post a few years ago by a guy who was having a lot of trouble with registration. Not sure how it eventually turned out, but it didn't sound pretty at the time.

Nice race car. I wonder if it has ever been driven on the street.

I "think" the problem with registering in California has less to do with emission laws than with the fact that Ruf is such a small vehicle manufacturer that his cars do not show up on the "list". Maybe there is an issue with lack of crash test data?

Scott... you are not allowed to post on Rennlist until you update your avatar with a photo with a few more pixels. If your Nikon can't do it, please borrow my Canon.

It has. I've followed it before on the way to local car functions. They remove the lower chin spoiler before driving it on the street. Quite a sight to see it rolling down a public street.

This is Steve Beddor's old car. Lots of in-car vids on You tube...great stuff. He drove it on the streets around MN. He is good friends of a co-worker of mine.

The story/video of when he took the car to Rensport Reunion II is priceless.

Her's a good one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SqkC4...eature=related

Another good one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrfdcGbI994

California Speedway POC race(I believe): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIPSw...eature=related

Anyway its a bad *** 993 based "street car" fo sure.
