Very nice! Most people don't have that nice of mill work in their house, and you have it in your garage! Well done.

I've seen the garage first hand and the pics don't do it justice!

The floor is polished concrete and looks incredible...really a great flooring option if you have a clean concrete floor to start with.

Everything from the lighting to the positioning of motor units for the garages and the lift are done with great thought.

As for the rest of the house...it's quite photogenic as well.

What exactly is this "polished concrete"? Is this a stained concrete with a clear coat of epoxy? Is this as durable as an epoxy floor? Is this less expensive vs. a traditional epoxy floor? Thanks.

from my understanding, there is no epoxy or stain. You literally just just a special polishing wheel to smooth out the concrete to a nice gloss.

There may be a sealer involved but I don't know what it is.

Thanks 993guy,

Yeah Quadcammer is absolutely right, just keep polishing until you get the desired shine, takes about 3 days or 20-24 hours of polishing for high gloss.

from what I have been told its a process that starts during the intial pouring of the concrete floor. Then different sanding and buffing wheels are used with 3000 grit material that gives it a shine similar to wax on vinyl or poly on food floors. Ive seen houses with polished concrete floors and at times they almost look like granite. Very cool process with fantastic results.
