yeah, could probably make your own ... don't think it would be too hard to get a proper face made with the correct lettering and gut a aftermarket boost gauge. (Don't want to use my stock one so might do this if I find a used clock to buy).

Re: the pics of the boost hose install. Using a large caliber hose, I worry about the increased 'dead space' affecting the vacuum. I tried it (a larger hose like one pictured - when a narrower tube I was using got developed a hole from rubbing) and I thought my boost gauge responded slower. Didn't hear the diverter valve opening as much ... I switched back to a narrow dia hard tube (protected with a larger tube around areas of contact body) and I can hear the diverter valve opening when I let off the gas/see better response of boost gauge ... it could all be my imagination though

I had an Audi S4 that I installed an electronic boost gauge in and it worked great. Is there advantage of using a mechanical one over an electronic one?

Thanks, Felix. For the benefit of anyone's future research here after that auction expires, Romuald's eBay seller name is "dr.psycho911."

Chuck-- Porschemeister confirmed you have the correct e-mail address for Romuald.

PMeister was very complimentary of Romuald & his work. However, he said the clock location made it difficult to read under full boost. Coincidentally, he said a digital one in the tach would be a better way to go -- I'm not sure he'd seen this thread's pictures of In Your Face Gauges' PLX work when he said that.

this is an alternative to the clock location IMO this is much better.

You are correct, sir! I love the gauge. When I get to drive the Turbo on sunny weekends, time is never an issue.

I have no other contact info regarding the gauge, only what's in Tom's original old post.

The maker/seller got back to me. It would cost $790 plus shipping for a silver faced gauge. I am going to pass.... for now. His email address is Romuald Kowalik <rce.kowalik@t-online.de>.

Below is his response.

Hello Chuck,
I built some of these special gauges for my car and some friends.
I can built you a gauge, shown on the photo, in silver.
If you send me the original clock for the conversion, the price is 590,00 EUR + shipping.
Best regards,
Romuald

Default Boost/clock gauge

Does anyone know if Romuald is still making these?

I sent an email and have had no response?

Any contact details would be appreciated.

TIA

Default PLX

I did the PLX. Works great. Tons of expansion capabilities too. Boost controller I went Profec OLED. Works great. Lots of extra ambient lighting at night too. It is awesome.
