Amazing driving!! Certainly being driven as though it were stolen and will probably last about as long as a stolen car. As for winter driving.... mine doesn't even go out in the rain! :-)

Temps went up, snow disappeared, the drizzel stop yesterday, and the sun popped out late in the day to dry off the roads. So on the last day of the year, went for a spirited yet restrained drive in the sounding country side. :-)

Drove it yesterday...today going out. Some ice out there....sumi's are good cold. Not superb, but not bad.
I have rust proofed every underbody bolt possible and just enjoy the car. It is just a car.
It was my DD every day in Pennsylvania for 5 years....lots of snow. If deep or salty, I pulled out an ancient land rover....still do. But for dry cold days, perhaps a dusting, it is fun. If I had to, I'd get home in this car in a blizzard if not "too" deep.
Best all and happy new year.
BTW, how did they do the headlights on the red car? Looks nice.

I bet more than half don't drive 'em in the winter. They otherwise don't seem to be depreciating much now and if you've got as good one, they're tuff to replace......GT3 on the other hand......lots of 'em depreciating rapidly. I'll drive mine in the dry but never snow or salt. Like I always say, if you want a winter 911, get a 2 or 3 year old H2O cooled effort............

Jcb-Memphis, I am planning on daily driving a 993tt I'm about to pull the trigger on. Comes with 2 sets of rims.
Planning on using real snow tires on one set if rims. Do you think I could use it in 3-5" snow with good snow tires on??

Hummm. Think the chains would affect cornering??
I can borrow my wife's SUV for bad snow storms, but I would like to know that with snow tires on I can get up my hill in the 993tt in a few inches of snow and make it to my house.

Yes. I don't use chains. For my car, 3-4" max....it has coilovers and sees the track.
The cars are tanks.....in shallow stuff, they are as good as anything else. With the engine over the drive wheels...even the rwd ones are good...the awd is just superb.
I'd make sure you have 1" clearance for snow. Just my 2c...ruts and things are our there. The snow rubber is better in the cold anyway.... I'd get an H rated snow tire...so you can have some fun.
