I have an oil leak originating from lower valve cover gasket - does anyone have a sense of cost for replacing these (would do both sides). Am awaiting a quote locally (BC).
Apparently these dry out and crack due to high temp in this area of engine - is anyone aware of any meaningful aftermarket options to discourage it happening again?

I did upper and lower valve cover gaskets when I had the plugs changed. I think the labour was $600.

If you are mechanically inclined this is something you can do yourself for the cost of parts. If you go this route be sure to read up on the DIY procedure as there are a couple of gotchas to be aware of. Ask me how I know

Edit: I did this on my 993. With the TT you have to remove the turbos so that adds some complexity (and labor if the stealer does it).
