Answer is yes if you're talking about the standard 996TT 5-spoke wheels in 9 and 11 inch sizes (18'). Not sure what "GT2' wheels" means.

I think they are 12" in the rear. I always thought with the offset and width that the GT2 wheels did not fit a 993tt. I could be wrong.

I believe stock 996tt wheels are 8x18 front and 11x18 rear

And the 996 GT2 was 8.5x18 front and 12x18 rear

996 Gt2 wheels will fit if you roll your fenders. Rob at Scargo has a set on his TT.

Oooops, sorry for the typo. You're of course correct.

They did make the GT3 wheel with the same offsets as the TT Twists:

996 362 136 02 18 x 8 et50
996 362 142 02 18 x 11 et45

Regular GT3 wheels were 8.5" et40 fronts and 11" et63 rears so you'd need wheel adapters in the rears and rolled fenders in the front.

Also GT3 wheels were made for the GT2 with 8.5" et40 fronts and 12" et45 rears.

Here's a set with proper TT offsets:

does anybody know if the sport design classics will fit a 993 TT (the new fuchs style design) without rolling or any changing of arches, I know they are 19" and will reduce ride quality, but I love the design of the older wheels, and they do not clear the brakes

details for the wheels that I think they are

8 ½ J x 19, ET 56 – 10,5 kg (front)
11 J x 19, ET 51 – 11,5 kg (rear)

Seems like some 6mm spacers would put them at the same offsets of the stock TT wheels although you might want to make some adjustments for the extra width on the front rims.

I have the same GT2/3 style wheel and offsets as sanyata. They're from a 2002 GT2 which I believe had 11's on the rear for that year only. 03-04 GT2's have 12's on the rear. At least that's what I was told by the person I purchased my set of wheels from who owned an 02 GT2.
