Default Lowering Springs vs. Coil Overs - 993 TT

The objective would be to lower a stock twin, to European ride height or maybe a drop lower. There would be no track days, just spirited road driving. Would a set of quality springs from H&R suffice or are coil overs the way to go? What are the down sides of each?

Seems like lowering springs would be acheiving the objective with the least alteration from "original."

Thank you

the grip, finesse and damping response from the coil over is going to be far superior than just a spring change.

both are bonefide options, no real downsides
imo

I had OME M030 springs and and Bilsteins HD shocks on my cab and liked the set up. I went with the same set up on the turbo and couldn't be happier.

the real problem is the stock shocks are likely toast or soon will be. Even if you want to stay close to stock in ride quality etc, go the OEM M030 springs and and Bilsteins HD shocks route

When I bought my turbo it had the stock OEM shocks and M030 springs. The Bilstein HDs lowed it nicely.

Default Coil Overs

I hear great things about K&W, but not sure about quality compared to H&R's. The K&W's may also be a bit more track oriented.

Which do you guys feel would be best for the road, no track? Are there any others that should be considered?

H&R's aren't in the same universe as the KW varient 3s. With that said that would too much for a non track car even though the KW's are adjustable.

Best set up would be RoW M030 for what your asking.
