Default Factory Air Box question

I have read many posts regarding the factory air box being the best setup for our cars. My motor was rebuilt by Wright Motorsport http://www.wrightmotorsports.com in Cincinnati and came with the cone style air filter. I believe these guys know what they are doing!

Should I get rid of the cone filter setup and replace it with a stock setup?

The stock airbox gets air through the spoiler, which will generally be cooler than that coming from a cone in the engine compartment.

I simply don't think the airbox is a huge restriction in these cars, and the hairdryers heat the hair up enough as it is.

Cone filters usually have oiled elements which can goo up the MAF sensor.

Keep the cone filter. It will make sure you keep sucking that warm engine compartment air and keep you a couple horsepower down on me when you need it most.
