RUF Bumper and Center Exhaust
Mounted up an aftermarket RUF rear bumper which was modified for a centered exhaust. The car will see limited street use so the exhaust is now open from the turbo to the tip. No idea on how loud but it will be less than a Harley on open pipes. My old system went to 2.5" and had the 100 cell shorty cats and resonators and had a nice bark to it.
Unlike the front the rear is an open fit on the bottom so it is not too hard to balance the inconsistencies of fit over the stock bumper cover. The front is next and since it fits between a fixed point on the top and bottom it is going to be hard to balance the poor fit since it is not even close.

In the old days (Jag, Lotus, Bentley etc. excluded) green was reputed to be bad luck on a race car.
Still always thought of painting one of my Porsches that color. There were so many changes to this car that it was the ideal candidate. The Arena Red is a great color for the stock car but would not look right with the mods and mostly with the black wheels. I went with a solid color over metallic since it is so much easier to spot in track rash. It is a 80-90% paint job so those with a keen eye will see some areas that needed a bit more prep. It has yet to be color sanded and buffed out which will certainly make a difference.
The color is GB249. A good friend who is also a senior designer at Ford picked it out of the Green Book which has every green known in a progression from what I guess starts at 1 and goes on from there. The color on the screen does not do it justice and it does look a lot like Viper Green. It does not have the pastel tones of the Viper Green. It is a very pure green.
It is Glasurit two stage paint and much to my surprise the trade cost of a gallon of the green was $678.00. Did not see that coming. Most expensive gallon the shop had ever sold and it happened to be the one I was buying.
I will get some shots when she is on the ground on the rubber. Everyone is saying do some black side graphics. Even though it is a turbo I am still in awe of when I first saw a 1973 RS with the Carrera Script and I am tempted to do that on it. Opinions are always welcome.

Barney verses Kermit. Barney still wins. There is a reason that Royalty always wore Purple. This car is bright but the Purple suits the shape so well.
When people ask what the color is I usually tell them it is Short Dick Green. Because it is so bright it will grab attention but that is not what I was going for. The color that some other marque owners would pick to compensate for their short comings. Of course Porsche owners never have those issues.
GT9111, The turbo script has been mentioned but I think it would be a bit too pretentious which I know is a contradiction given the color, etc. It's just me and how I think "turbo" says look what I have as opposed to what a fun car.

I have 3 sets of 996 turbo twists which works out perfectly for track tires. Love the RUF wheels and if I ran it move as a street car I would mount up a set. Hard to beat 18's for track wheels. Yes front bumper as well.

There was 2-3 coats, jams, under trunk and a light coat on the inside of the bumpers. Probably 3 oz's left. The rest of the film build is in clear.

The 11" wide 996 rears fit under the stock tin with 315's so even though the GT2 flares look great I don't need the function. I switched too the RUF bumpers more for function than for jazz. The front gives me enough room over stock to get a center mounted oil cooler in there. The extended spoiler lip and side venting hopefully help manage some airflow as well.
