Luckily, I purchased a spare DME relay back in January for about $29 (Sunset). I needed to use it this past Friday.
So, I bought another spare. Now the price is over $64.
The old relay that went out on my Friday was a 944 part number. Both the new spares are 993 part numbers.
I has on the highway Friday, doing about 65-70 when WHAM the car lost all power. No warning lights, nothing. Got to the shoulder. Car would crank, just not fire. Put in the spare relay, and life was good again.

Still $28 at Pelican, a quick google search shows Lyndsey Racing has them for $18 (sounds too good to be true...)

ha, the last one I bought last month was $220NZ, where they were $90 last year. I told them they were dreaming so I got it for $90.00. That was the main dealer too. Burglars.
The older these cars get the more expensive parts will get as well.
ah well. At least it's not an Italian stallion, then we would be able to really complain.
