Ok gang - any recommendations for PPI in Houston? Also, any favourites for enclosed car shipping companies, within US or those who will also ship to Canada (eh). I promise not bring up hockey...
thanks for your input.

Mark, don't ship the car. Drive it home! You will have a blast.

Mike Callas at Rennsport. Rennsport's about an hour from Houston's west side though.

I've used Horseless Carriage Carriers several times and have been very impressed with their rates and service. Not sure if they ship to Canada however.

Thanks everybody - it really helps a lot, when one is "shopping" away from home.

Mark: Where are you located and what are you buying? I am planning to use TFX International (Adam - 416 243 8531-ext 8) within the next couple of weeks to ship my baby to the GTA.

Bergamasco,

Also playing the importation game - to Vancouver. Planning to ship to Seattle and import it myself from there. '96 993tt. Who does the PPI for TFX in the US and where are you importing from? What is their fee for the whole deal?

Mark: I am getting a '96 993TT also. Are you buying from a dealer or privately? TFX is just a shipping company. Sorry, but I can't advise you on someone in the Houston area for a PPI. - Glenn

Glenn,
In retrospect, I was thinking out of the non-cranial end of my body with my question. I am buying privately, and have a few recommendations for Houston PPI's. I requested a quote from TFX today also. I suspect it may be a substantial saving to pop across the border and import myself - will see. Was quoted $2K by Fed Ex; Horseless carriage and InterCity quotes pending.
