Part number for 996 Hollow Spoke Wheels
I have had a hankering for these wider wheels. What it the correct parts numbers?
Please confirm that these are a direct fit and that no spacers are needed and that they won't rub the fenders.
Thanks!

You should be able to find 996TT HOLLOW SPOKES (solid spoke wheel were sold in 2001 models) on eBay for around $600-$800 set. I once scored a set of perfect hollows for $400.
And yes, they fit without spacers or problems.

I may have a set for sale soon. They're still on my car awaiting wheels being shipped from back east. I'm close by so no shipping. pm me if interested.

If you run 295's on the rear you have good clearance but if you plan on running 315's and depending how low your car is the tire gets pretty close to the fender lip. A bit more negative camber will fix that should it be an issue. I have never had a rub problem on 315's but it was close.

I actually was looking at a set recently with identical part #'s and called 2 dealers to verify fit- according to both, the rears are 11 x 18" and require 5 mm spacers for 993 tt- one dealer suggested due to 11 inch width plus spacer there could be rubbing issues on outer surface-- am not willing to pay for an expensive experiment. Also learned the chrome versions may be less than structurally sound due to metal fatigue resulting from plating process- a few threads on this...

I have a set as well that's just taking up space in the garage. If someone's interested, send me a PM.
I'm about 20 mins north of San Francisco if you wanted to avoid shipping.

Found this out when right front wheel had to be replaced cause of some relatively minor scuff marks and wheel refinisher couldn't refinish wheel to level of quality that would be acceptable.
Sincerely,
Macster.

With 235/295 they rub in front on the inner liner a bit at full lock. I could run an 8mm spacer in the rear or not. It was mainly for looks. With my current 245/315 there is a bit more rubbing on the inner liner, but it's not really a big deal. Rear fits just fine and again I can use an 8mm spacer or not. I just had my camber increased to -2.3 and I think I could use an 8mm spacer in front if I wanted (for looks) and more than 8mm in back. Bottom line - they will work without spacers.
