Default more weight loss - hood

Here's some more weight loss. Fiberglass/carbon hood (bought used), hood shock delete - 14 lbs, not bad but not as much as I thought. The only trick I finally learned after multiple attempts at aligning this thing is that you should only finger tighten the bolts and close the hood without the latch. Then align and carefully lift the hood (so that it doesn't move) then tighten the bolts. Do the same thing with the latch mechanism - hand tighten, close (causes it to self align) then tighten. It ends up fitting not too bad. Not sure I really like the 'bling' but like the weight loss. Suppose I could spray it some day.

Hi Pete
Don't know who made the hood. I've looked at it pretty closely and there are no markings/stamps. I don't think it is Getty Design or GT racing. I know there was a shop in Surrey BC which used to make CF hoods but this hood was on a car bought from the US. Maybe custom made, don't know. Looks pretty reasonable and shines up nicely.
