New turbo owner
#17
Thanks guys for the warm welcome, I hope to get to know this car better over the next few weeks and I will post my impressions. So far, I am very impressed, it does not seem like a 13 year old car at all. I am enjoying the simplicity of the dash, the classic guages, and how well the clutch and shifter work together. I thought my 997 had the best clutch feel, but I was wrong. The engine sound is so different and addictive. It came with a tape player, and I dont own a tape anymore, I looked but could not find one, so I am getting a cd player and front speaker components put in this Saturday. I dont want to go too wild, the engine note is too nice to drown out. Anyway, thanks again guys, great community you have here,

Thats cool, you actually got to see the car before I did, Hans was my eyes, I kept bugging him to look for every small detail, he is probably thrilled that that car is out of his shop! I was coming to Porsche palooza but I got sick two days before. I especially wanted to see all the 993's and of course that Carrera GT. That week I was very close to closing a deal on a Speed Yellow 993 C4S from Sloan, so I'm glad that did not work out as this turbo popped up a week later. I hope to run into your dad in LR, maybe at perfection plus, I need Rick to get me up to speed on air cooled cars, this is my first,
