Thank DivineE
Confirms my suspicions that the Ruf rumble comes from their cams. Nice to the ear for sure.....
Just checks another box towards the possible Ruf 490R conversion for me.

I love my Turbo R at idle. One day while at RUF Dallas, my car was idling and the tech tapped the gas and let off ... it pops! Not too loud, but kinda cool. I do that sometimes when messing around.

Somewhere between 700-900. I will look more closely the next time I drive it. To get the "pop", I rev it to 1200 or so and let off.

Most tts with somewhat of a modiied exhaust pop at 1200 rpms with a quick rev up, and even some stock ones do the same. Just an FYI I posted this you tube video about 2 years ago. Great sounding cars.

I do it all the time. The 930 and RS4 both pop in between each gear shift lovely music.
