yes we used the leather masters to treat pretty much everything. it leaves a matte finish and very good protection (no scents)

as for how much a detail like this costs, you're welcome to email me at phil@detailersdomain.com

Can folks recommend the best detailer in the Palo Alto area in California? and what should it cost for a black car?

TIA

The stock parcel shelf is leather. I know because I was unaware of this until mine shrunk and split because I didn't treat it. Replaced with a matching vinyl.

One question though; The rear seats seem to b the leather version, but I think the rear parcel shelf is vinyl, right? The door cards (except the handles and bin cover) are also vinyl, AFAIK. Do you use the same product for vinyl or is there another product for vinyl included in the kit?

Oh really? I didn't know that. Is there a difference then between the rear parcel shelf in a turbo vs. one from the NA cars? I'm pretty sure the NA cars have a vinyl shelf. What about the door cards, vinyl right? Sometimes it's extremely difficult to tell the difference between vinyl and leather. Best way is to "pinch" the texture or to gently push a nail or a sharp object against the vinyl/leather. The way the material reacts when you remove the object will reveal which material it is. Jeez that was not a good explanation, sorry about that (and for the OT).

Stunning detail job regardless

Perfect job...as usual. I love watching a vehicle being transformed in the proper hands. It's like art work.

My favorite color besides Arena Red.. All it needs is some colored crests and it would be perfect.

Your usual great work "Dr." Phil.....

It's not for sale!

Let me just step in and claim ownership of this near perfect car. First, I'd like to say Phil and his crew did an absolutely wonderful job on the car and were both extremely professional and personable. I would whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone looking for this level of detailing.

A little about the car now. I bought this car from an active fellow Rennlister who has owned more than a few 993's over the years (I think 5 in total). He was meticulous in his care of the car and hence the right person for me to buy the car from. The car has been kept bone stock and I am finding it difficult to consider any mods with the exception of the suspension. As Phil mentioned, it's only a little over 9K miles and is truly mint. The previous owners have each gone to amazing lengths to maintain the car's condition and I feel obligated to do the same.

There is truly something special about 993's that some people get and others don't. This was the nicest 993 turbo I was able to find when I was looking and I am loving every mile behind the wheel.

Amazing work and beautiful Turbo!

Phil, you need to move down to warmer weather like North Texas...
