Well... it's gone!
It's been a great ride, fellas. Almost exactly two years ago the most beautiful, amazing car in the world came into my life and now it's left. Sold the 993 to a RLister last night, he can identify himself in this thread if he wishes. These cars are damn near perfect, but it didn't make sense for us to own it anymore. I got bitten by the track bug - hard - and it wouldn't be economically sensible for me to turn the 993 into a track car.
As a consolation, I do have a new (to me) twin turbo to make me a little happy:

Have fun at the track Charlie! I remember those Saturday starbucks runs and especially getting passed by you and Barney! I haven't driven my car since april but am looking forward to driving it next week for a whole month while visiting Nashville for a month.

My mate picked up his new RS6 just today. I missed him when he called sadly. Looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about
I know he can't stop smiling.
Good luck with what you do anyway.

nothing like an underpowered ****box to learn how to drive. They won't let you cover your mistakes with power. No better way to learn to conserve momentum. good luck.

Hi Guys!
I purchased Charlie's 993TT this week. Wanted to thank Charlie for a beautiful car. I made my childhood dream come true with this beauty. I had a 996 for many years and never thought it felt like a porsche should. I had to get a 996 at the time because it was my DD so I needed a warrenty. Thought my old M3 was more of a sports car then the 996 was. Charlie came up to my house to give a test driver, and after driving it for 30 minutes I said, "I'll take it". What amazes me is how much I love the sound of the door opening and closing. It's like music! Why has porsche stoped making cars with character? Why couldn't porsche preserve a simple thing like the sound of the door closing in its future cars? I understand that cars have to evolve, but if you are going to built an expensive car than don't make it boring. I guess the formula of the 993 is very complex. I live in Westchester NY, so hope to meet you tri-state rennlisters sometime. I have some question for you quys in NY:
1) Where can I get the nose repainted in NY?
2) Where can I get my rims refurbished?
Thanks,
Mark
