Default Help with a 993tt for sale?

Anyone in the Pac NW have any knowledge of this car? Any dealings with this dealership? Any suggestions on where to get a ppi? Thanks in advance.

Looks like it has potential. Love the color and the mileage won't have you thinking about making it a garage queen. I could do without the "Big Whites" and not sure about the wheels. Decent price though....

Something is wrong with this car. TTs are not 2 wheel drive. . Looks like someone took a 911 and tried to make it into a TT.

Not exactly. There are several 993 Turbos on this board that are converted to 2wheel drive.

I really think this is more a function of AutoTrader's selection process when placing an ad. People just don't "click" the right box.

And not counting the C4S/C2S conversions...

Brian that's David's ( a member here) old car. I'll try to get him on here for you. I have seen it many times with better wheels and it's beautiful.

That is my old car. I agree, the wheels on it should not be there. I put those on when I traded it in. I actually still have the stock wheels sitting in my garage, just with no tires. I ran HRE 540s on it when I had it. I traded it in back in March for a 09 Audi S5. I needed something that I could drive everyday.

The dealer that is selling it is where I bought my first Porsche and my latest Audi. Not the biggest dealer, but I have never had a bad experience with them. If you contact them, ask for Sam and tell him I sent you. No, I don't get anything, he just treated me great.

When I traded it in, the car was actually in 2WD mode. Easily put back to AWD in about 5-10 minutes. My mechanic did that so I could get it on a 2WD dyno and we just left it that way since I liked the way it drove.

The car has a full suspension upgrade. JIC Cross coilovers and H&R sway bars front and rear. As well as a full performance alignment. A new clutch and LWF were put in right around 60k miles. I purchased those from Kevin at Ultimate. Replaced the RMS while we were in there as well. New brake pads were put it last Aug, and probably only have 1500 miles on them. The calipers were painted white for car shows. The red was pealing when I got the car and I just did the white myself one weekend. Not the greatest job, so probably should be done agian at some point. The engine never gave me any trouble. The PPI I had done when I bought it only recommended the clutch.

When I purchased the car, there had been some paintwork done to it. I was told the previous owner had the car in Cali and in was vandalized and needed to be resprayed on some panels. Can you see it, yes, if you know what to look for. The only people that ever noticed it were professional detailers and paint guys. When I was putting the roll cage in and was removing the back seat (all back to stock now), I did find broken glass in the back under the panels that backed up the claims of vandalizm.

Here are some pictures of the car when it was done up.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
David

Good luck with that car. I really like white and the mileage is perfect. I bought mine with 54k on it because I did not want a garage queen. I never hesitate to drive it and never worry about reducing its value.
