Default Help Getting Parts

Hi,

Need some help.

I need to replace the plastic terminal block where the O2 sensors connect. I've checked on PET but it seems that these parts don't have a PN and you cannot order them as separate components - my understanding is that I'd have to order the entire wiring loom, which I'd rather not do.

Does anyone know if these parts can be ordered separately and who can supply them?

Many thanks

Thanks Phelix, I checked with the technician and the PN you provided is for the support that holds the connectors (on the left side), not the terminal block itself.

Thanks Spartan, I will certainly check with the dismantlers.

Cheers

Call Sunset, they got me a discreet connector without buying the entire harness.

Sorry Ziad, I misunderstood what you were after. The entire engine wiring harness for a TT can be bought for under $100 USD, part number 000 043 204 61. If you can't get the oxygen sensor connectors separately you can remove them from the harness.

911/Q45, thanks for the tip. What's their website please? Sorry, I've never dealt with them before.

Thanks Felix, I was quoted a much higher price than that! much appreciated - I'll check back with them...

Cheers

That price is for the kit that's used for harness replacements as part of Porsche's campaign to replace defective engine wiring harnesses. I suspect it's either heavily subsidised or sold at Porsche's purchase cost from their supplier. One part of the kit is the harness itself (993 607 016 12) which has a list price of $879!!

Thanks Phelix... The price I got quoted for the entire wiring harness was more than double that without installation.

OK, just checked my spare engine wiring harness and the oxygen sensor plugs are not there. That suggests they're on the DME harness, 993 612 173 17 or 993 612 173 19, depending on the cars VIN. Tis a bit dearer - $1750 or $1500. See http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...&siteid=214626
