Park Brake Light comes on while driving
I did a search on "park brake" and nothing came up. Surpised...but anyhow, here is my issue.
The Praking Brake light comes on while I'm driving. The parking brake is not on and if I pull up on it, it will slow down the car.
The light just comes on and goes off at anytime.
I also noticed that sometimes when I pull up on the brake handle, the light does not come on, other times it does.
Just had valve cover on driver side done, is some connector in that area?
Thanks in advance!

Remove the thing (cup holder, tray, tape holder, CD holder) behind the e-brake and scope the situation out. This will allow you to see the back end of the e-brake where the switch is. You will need to remve the e-brake tray to deal with it.
The issue will very likely be obvious.

Ok, so I was just taking a look to see how easy it would be to pop off and I don't want to break anything.
So, do I first remove the little tray behind the brake by prying up from where it meets the hand brake tray? Looks like a screwdriver or something wider with a rag will pop up the cd tray. It "looks" like the tray rests on the e-brake tray.
Just checking before I dig in. Sorry to be a pain....

The little tray has a rubber mat in the bottom hiding 2 little screws. Lift the mat at the back edge and peel it back enough to see the screws.
The forward edge of the tray slips under the piece forward of it. Hopefully that makes sense... it will be obvious when you remove the 2 little screws.
Have fun!
EDIT: wait, you also said CD tray... which do you have? A CD holder or a little tray?
If it is a CD holder, there is a screw at the back of the CD holder under a little cap. Going from memory on the little cap but I think that is what hides the screw at the back of the CD tray.
Most importantly, there is no prying invo;ved at all. Do not pry...

Mark, yes it's a tray, not the cd holder. I usually put my cell phone in there.
I should be good to go now that I know there are screws under the little rubber mat.
Thanks again!

Problem solved!
Thanks Mark, I removed the back tray and the handbrake tray and sure enough, the metal pin had fallen out of the spot where it should be. Put it back in place and all is well.
At least I believe so, I didn't get a chance to take her out for a spin yesterday, but I'm pretty sure it's all taken care of.
Thanks again for the info!
