Wow, seems pretty damn good to me. Good set of mods, a set of seats to die for, and a color that doesn't require a constant detailer.

41k miles for 48k? I asked the seller about leaks/accidents/tranny issues.

Lets see what happens:

Unfortunately for us that is probably a realistic price.

Hey, but Excellence says it will be worth a lot more in 2015! (Read the content of the ad. When did it say that?)

I dont like the seats. Look like cheap GT3 seats and the wooden shifter aint that hot.

Nice. Excellence seems to really have the market pinned down for the 2015-2020 period. I believe they use a magic 8-Ball.

The seats seem to be recaros, they could be knockoffs, but GT3 seats or not, I like them.

The wood shift **** is not a big deal to change.

Anybody have carfax?

Also, is it possible to remove the batphone and go back to the standard console?

I think it looks ridiculous.

Would that be an easily saleable item?

Thanks guys.

Aren't those very similar to the Recaro leather seats that are in the 964 and 993RS, as well as the optional seat in the '94 speedster. The only difference is the insert.

That is a bird console, I had one at one point, they come in hany as an armrest.

From the pics, those seats appear to be Porsche/Recaro RS Seats. Very similar to the Recaro Pole Position.

IIRC, the last US model to have them was the 964 Speedster.

They were aslo delivered optionally on euro 964s/993s. I believe standard on the RSs.

These seats are actually more desirable for the 993s than th GT3 seats.

1989 Speedster had regular seats, Porsche didn't start using these seat until RS models and only in the USA with the 1994 Speedster

I sent an email to the Autometrics place that apparently maintained the car to try to get more info.

So far I'm a bit skeptical.

someone got a hell of a deal on that one. sold for $45k. Even if $5k of repairs are necessary, still a good deal.
