Default No service history...too risky?

I love this car at RPM but there are no service records with the car according to the owner. Too risky even with a clean PPI?

There is a car at MVL leasing. It might be worth having a look at ........ at least for a point of reference.

My two cents and given that Ray has it for sale, I would not hesitate with a clean PPI. Have Protechnik (Ronnie or Chris) take a look at it for you.

Sloan has a very similar car for sale on his site, only the interior is black and 22,500 miles. I believe he has had it for some time, so he may be ready to deal. Good luck!

Does Sloan have prices listed somewhere on it's cars?

Yes, they are listed on the very far right side of the screen. The Polar Silver car is listed at $79,500, but this is just a starting point as he tends to set his prices rather high.

Guys,

No comment on the car but I have nothing but good to say about RPM. Purchased some turbos and an ECU from him. There was an issue with the ECU and he handled it promptly and exceeded my expectations which seldom happens when dealing with problems over the internet.

How much service history other than oil changes is there on a 25,000 mile Turbo? Seems like a very thorough PPI would answer most your questions regarding the history. Good luck

Thanks guys...if the car wasn't at RPM, I probably wouldn't be interested at all. However, this is my first 993 purchase and I'm a little nervous

Well, let's see. It's a 1996 (13 years young!) so figure:

1) 13 oil changes- done yearly
2) 4 brake fluid changes- done every 3 years
3) at least 1 change Air filter- every 20,000 km
4) at least 1 change Particle filter- every 20,000 km
5) at least 1 change spark plugs- every 20/40,000 km
6) Check airbag system- year 4, 8, 10 and 12
7) and many visual checks

Collectively - small beer - unless the oil has not been changed in 13 years.

My perspective too. With 25,000 miles I would hope there is no service history. As far as anything short of engine R&R, I do everything myself in the garagemahal.
