sorry for the ignorance but where is the DME relay located? I will make sure I get a spare in the glove box and also a spare battery for the key fob...

Its located in the fuse box in the trunk, or boot, depending upon which side of the car the steering wheel is on

Sunday night, the same thing happened to me in the driveway. It finally started and would not repeat the anomaly. I got a relay today. Will put it in tomorrow.

Default relay is really hot

Not to highjack but to highjack a little....so is this uncommon, doesn't seem healthy. I was chasing a drain on the battery, get tired of jumping the car every 3 days. upon playing around in the fuse box, I touched the DME relay. It was very hot, hard to touch but everything else was room temp. Do you peoples think it's on it's way out or is this normal? thanks (95 993)

It is cheap and easy to replace. Replace it and see if it is still hot.

So I contacted both dealers in Toronto and they quoted me $111.53 for the DME relay which is $28 on Pelican Parts. What's with this?

Pretty simple:dealers want all your money. Are you going to give it to them?

I got one from FisterD a while back, great service!

What are the part numbers of the belts and fan? Are those must-haves for longer trips?

I think Porsche are having a laugh on us down here as well. I ordered one yesterday (mine failed again) and the guy told me it was $225.00 plus gst!!
I asked him if it was April the 1st, Seriously, I did.
I laughed and he reckons Porsche put the price up, so I moaned my **** off and he let me have one for what I paid last time... $80.00.
Stealers are a joke.
