Homestead Speedway is considering hosting 1/8 mile drag racing. In preparation, they invited ASR Engineering (good friend of mine) to come down with their and customers cars to put on a 1/8 mile drag racing exhibition. We were basically acting as guinea pigs to see if the logistics worked for the setup they had come up with.

I wanted to take the 993TT but was peer pressured into taking the RUF. As most of you can figure, this is not an ideal car for 1/8 racing. By the time the turbo kicks in, you’re at the end of the track. However, it did pretty well. Only lost to my buddies 993tt by about 1/2 car length. His car is definitely fast!. He also had a chance to run against a GT3 RS. He was able to take him by about a car. I only wish I has a chance to run the GT3, would have been close!
