Default My car, the mosquito fogger

Well, again, oft discussed, just sharing my "joy ride" yesterday in my 1997 TT. I went out to the garage, started her up, heard a thump and a HUGE plume of white smoke started to come out of the tailpipes.

It smelled awful, but it wasn't blue like oil. Smoke filled the garage, the car, and me I let it idle for about 5 minutes after said explosion and it settled down and drove normally. I did notice that revving the engine at idle caused a small amount of popcorn through the tailpipes that I hadn't noticed before, but could be normal.

I could swear though that this was fuel related not oil, but who knows? I'll try again tonight and see what happens!

That's an idea I didn't think of...it definitely wasn't an oil plume. I'll see how we behave this weekend. I only run Shell 93 V-Power, but who knows what the PO's ran through it. Maybe time for another round of techron treatment, as I'm sure that can't hurt.
