Yeah, he must be joking. Pulling the FPR isn't so bad once you have access.

Found a Bosch distributor in NY called Mech-Tronic. I called them, emailed my address and they shipped it (COD) and it was at my door next day for $133. That was far less than any aftermarket porsche place I found.

You know some guys take a socket to their stock FPR and whack a dent in the top, this raises the pressure to about 4.7bar, it did on mine. When i bought my engine it was fitted with a FPR that had been whacked on the top, a clean circular dent, the pressure at the fuel rail was 4.7Bar, otherwise it was a stock part.
I've subsequently fitted a proper 5.0Bar unit but the other one was working fine

Sorry Dave, i was just messing around...no harm intended. The FPR is very accessible but you'll have to pull your intercooler and blower assembly to get there. Might be a DIY somewhere on that...if not and you need a hand just ask and we'll try to give you some guidance. Good luck, enjoy your car
