Default Brake Handle Question

Ok,
I solved my shifter issue, got one on order. The other problem I have is the CF brake pull on my 993 is cracked and looks like poop. Gert sells a 996 replacement, but I'm wondering how that works exactly?

Do you just pull the old one off and slide the new one on? (it looks like the curve is wrong) Thoughts? A new CF for a 993TT is $898.00 YIKES!

Thanks,
Scott

Scott,

The 996 one DOESNT fit.... AFAIK.

The 993 one is a totally different design. Now if you are tlaking about the "handle" itself - I would also say they dont fit - the 993 is straght and the 996 is curved.

Hope that helps,

SImon.

I wouldn't argue that either Simon, but can you help me figure out what this is?

Is this the stock 993TT grip and mine is aftermarket maybe?

Scott,

That is the MY02 Shifter (form a 996 - but fits a 993) and a ALU E-Brake handle form a 993. The Carbon ones (I assume like yours) has carbon around where the leather is ont he handle itself.

Hope that helps,

SImon.
