Default Breeze clamps and RS mounts

Two questions, unreleated, of course.

- For those with the contstant torque clamps on the IC hoses, are you tightening the clamps down until the spacing washers all touch?

- Has anyone noticed the RS mounts changed the positioning of the trans crossmember?
Mine went back in but was a very tight fit. The trans crossmember sits back a bit further. The bolt holes barely made it.
I suspect this is due to the RS engine mounts and now higher position of the engine carrier. Just looking for confirmation. I ddn't think it would make that much of a difference.

Thanks and Happy New Year!

Do you mean until the spring completely compresses?
I don't crank it down that hard, as I believe the idea is to allow expansion and contraction due to temperature variations while still supplying constant clamping force.
I have never had one pop off since switching to breeze.

According to the Breeze online catalog the constant torque clamps should be torqued between 50 and 125 in-lbs. That's a pretty big range, but since clamps loosen when cold I would shoot closer to the higher end if it's cold and the lower end if it's hot. If you overtorque them they'll probably damage your very expensive hose and certainly won't work as intended

I damaged many hoses and even broke a few clamps before I started using an in-lb torque wrench on hose clamps.

60 inch/lbs is what I use.
