If a bumper was resprayed for rock chips or whatever that isnt so bad, but painting sections of a car because of large dents would lose my interest

ah that is no biggy. if a bumper was replaced that would be something to bring up a red flag, but people have cosmetic paintwork all the time on the bumpers as a refresher for scratches or chips. a notable area that shows up on darker color cars especially is right on that curved edge of the bumper right behind the rear tires.
