Question HELP! Removing Radio and Climate Control

I am trying bling up my interior with the CF kit ordered from FVD. I need help removing the radio and climate control unit to get to the nuts that secure the lower dash. Thanks ahead.

You stick 4 small metal rods in the holes in the faceplates. They have kits at electronics shops, but I used drill bits.

For the CCU, I had success by using two sections of a wire clothes hangar (used a thicker guage hangar) and bending them into "U" shapes. Poke them into the holes on each side to release and pull out the CCU.

The radio needs "keys" to release - if you have a relation with a auto radio shop, they might lend them to you. You won't need them to install - radio snaps back in.

You can get the ccu removal tools at Kragens. I think they are the same as Ford radio tools.

You don't need to borrow radio removal tools. Just go by any stereo installation place and ask them to release your radio. I did that at Circuit City and it took all of about 15 seconds.
