Default Protomotive Intercooler

How many on here have the protomotive intercooler? I curious about fitment. The car currently has the GT2 tail and if anyone had any pics or advice about where they had to trim it would be greatly appreciated

I think this would be a nice mod to compliment my new turbos. Guessing that the only guys running this IC are track only cars like mine and any feedback would be helpful.

Have a great day everyone!

I have one installed by Prototech in Florida several years ago. They are very nice ICs, my .8 bar spring 3.2L never over heats even on hot track days.

Thanks for taking the time to post pics guys!

Al Pettee, do you still utilize the stock airbox or do you have to use an open element with the IC?

Al Pettee,

haha a picture says a thousand words

My car is just a lowly 3.6 so I'm curious as to what Todd has in store for how the intake works out. At this point I know how much it costs but as to what's included I'm uncertain.

I've got some plans as to how to seal the IC to the wing with large rubber automotive tubing/sealer. It has an adhesive so if this thing is a big as everyone says and you have to trim the rear wing to make it fit then putting the adhesive rubber seal on the wing should work. This way the IC will be somewhat shrouded/shrouded which is important. At this point this is all theory though...

Do you have any kind of shrouding for your IC?

I actually don't have the car yet in my possession since the 3.8L conversion done this winter and spring-I'm literally going to Protosport in north Jersey tomorrow afternoon to pick up the car and drive her home!

So the above two pics are my knowledge of the setup in the engine bay.

looks like Al's MAF sensor is still installed but the intake section is capped off...he's got dual intakes direct into the turbo inlets (through the 2 cone filters). I would assume its not tuned around the MAF reads and is just set at max.

Can't quite see the throttle body inlet. ? is the throttle body turned around a 180 degrees? Does the intercooler attach to the blue silicon tubing at the very anterior/right(passenger side) top in the picture? neat.

Here's mine I also have the cone air filters. The intercooler is a work of art IMHO.
