What is this connector for?

This connector snaps into the floor tray under the passenger's seat on the 993's. I tested it with lights on, central locking activated, ignition on... all with no power showing. I have an idea what it might be but would rather not assume and have someone knowledgeable make that declaration. I have more pics if required showing which main harness the wire grafts into. I could not find it in the factory 993 service manuals either so if someone knows in which electrical diagram it's in that be also be great. Thx.

Sorry guys, no seat belt and no seat heater as the passenger's seat belt has no wire that comes off of it like the driver's side does. And the seat heater is a part of the main 8-pin electric seat harness/plug.
Here are the photos. Please review and give me more feedback. Thanks.

I did not know the parts lists were available on-line and in pdf format. Now if I could only find the 993 factory service manuals

When I bought my Porsche child booster seat, the seat came with a seat belt looking latch supposedly to connect with a harness that you have to install in the car (to defeat the passenger airbag). However on my 1996 car, the car did not have this wiring harness and connector installed yet. Apparently sometime later production car, they installed this connector (that is supposed to connect with airbag defeat harness). I would bet that is what that connector is for. . .
If you close the circuit on that two point connector, it should deactivate the passenger airbag
here is a discussion on the topic (airbag deactivation bar/harness):

Thanks Pram. That seems to be the most plausible use, I guess. A bit strange but I do have a 1997 so like you said, perhaps from 1997 and up, this was an option or the wiring was in place but not completely hooked up to work until 1998 or later. Anyone else have this on their 1997 993???

The connector is not hooked up to anything unless you buy and install the special harness for the airbag deactivation.
On later production car they add the connector so that when you buy the Porsche child booster seat you can deactivate the passenger airbag by first adding the harness (to be connected to such connector on your car) and then connect the booster seat latch to the harness.
When I bought my child booster seat I asked if I need to also buy the seat harness and the dealer told me that the VIN on my car showed that my car do not have the connector, hence I never bought the harness.
The child booster seat comes with the male side of the seat belt latch while the seat harness has with the female side of the seat belt latch

In the wiring diagram for the 97+ 993tt is the following section; I think this is what you're asking about. In case the image is hard to read the lefthand wire is brown and the righthand one brown with a black trace.
But it looks like it's more complicated that just jumping those pins.
