OK, after no luck finding cats at a reasonable price, I'm trying a different approach. How about some cat bypass pipes. My current exhaust is Fabspeed, so I would prefer their bypass, but would consider others if I can make them fit.
I have the Fabspeed cat by pass pipes. They did not fit to good. I had to have them modified at a local shop. They do sound great with there mufflers. I had no issue with a CEL light. Also you will see a much better spool-up.. Gobbs of power
Acropora,
I've never seen the inside of a cat. Is it really that simple...disconnect...scrape 'em out...reconnect. If so, why does anyone bother with bypass pipes?

His car sounds fantastic passing at full throttle, and has a very nice idle. I didn't hear it at cruising speeds, so I don't know about resonance.

As of this morning, Vinnie at Gulf Peformance in Pompano is searching his back room for some used bypass pipes. He said he has some FVD, but also may have some Fabspeed. Since my current exhaust is Fabspeed, I'm going on the theory that their pipes will be a better fit. Based on some of the posts I've read, it sounds like either set may need some tinkering to get them in.
Hoping to get something down here soon...perhaps installed this weekend, so I can test them out before Homestead on 2/16.
