Default Feedback Wanted On A Specific 993 TT For Sale - Autotrader

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...e=&cardist=579

My brother is a bit computer challenged albeit he is looking for a 993 TT. His preferances are Silver and Guards. Wanting something with relatively, stock, no stories, below 45K in mileage and something in the $60K pricewise... so I'm being a good little brother and of course helping him out and doing his leg work (things never change).

With that in mind what are thoughts on the above car? Does this have a stock or aftermarket turbo?

I'm not in love with the interior. While less pratical, I prefer full cashmere with black mats, rather than cash/black (all carpeting blak). The Bat phone is nifty, but I imagine intrusive into the footwell. The beige gauge rings are unsightly, but easily changed.

This is all my opinion, I don't see anything empirically wrong with the car. I see nothing that indiates aftermarket turbos.

Looks like it has been lowered, has turbo S ducts and pipes and it priced to look into further. I just cant understand how someone could show the car with leaves and debris in the intercooler!

don't like the three-spoke, period-incorrect steering wheel. I have heard too that phone thing gets in the way of the driver's right thigh. Priced OK for a dealer, I guess....high.

IMO the three spoke steering wheel wakes up the interior and is a great mod for our cars. the old 4 spoke again IMO looks like crap

My red-flag-ometer was perked up by the polished-looking "turbo" script on the rear decklid vs. the more "satin" finish that was stock. Anyone agree that it looks too bright? And if the logo was swapped out, then why?

Ditto. The matte badge went NLA from Porsche some time after '98. That could indicate damage. The chrome badge may have been an option on the original, though, FWIW.

stereo isn't factory stoock either. what is going on with the console from the dash to the shifter. is that what you guys are referring to as the "bat phone"...ugly as hell IMHO...

also, in pic # 1, the front edge of the hood does not appear to be flush with the mating edge of the bumper cover...

It was unwise of the seller to take a picture that exists solely to showcase an item that can indicate collision damage.

yup - that is the batphone console. It was a $3k+ option on the sticker - integrated cell phone (analog) with voice dialing. Some people like the console as a place to put gauges, nav units etc. It does interfere a bit with the driver's right leg but you get used to it. I did
