Default just installed fabspeed maxflo mufflers

hi all,

i just installed maxflo rear cans on my tt...barely any sound difference from stock. i can't really hear a difference when driving with the windows down....maybe a slightly deeper sound if i listen closely. Is this normal? i read that some even considered maxflo to be loud. Do they get louder as they break in? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I have them and they don't sound any different than stock. How they did improve was to remove the cats with the cat. by-pass pipes. Nice sound then...

Barney1....thanks for the input! greatly appreciated! Also, one of the exhaust tips are mounted crooked. there doesn't seem to be much room for adjustment.....any suggestions? or is it possible to get them aligned?

Good luck with the tail pipes... I had to get the adjustment as close as I could and then heat the pipe on the muffler with a torch and tweak them.

i believe all mufflers get louder as you break them in my cargraphics did and now my stockies are. With reference to your tailpipe issue when i replaced my fvd cats with kevin's and put the stock mufflers back i could not align the tips perfectly either, my tech told me to go to a muffler shop and have them welded, i am hesitant due to the inability to replace them when they blacken. I am too looking for a solution to this
