I have just paid a deposit on a 1996 polar silver 993tt.....it's gorgeous and I pick it up wednesday......One of the things I need to do is raise the suspension by 15mm. It has RS front and rear anti-roll bars (sway bars). It also has very new Bilstein HD's all round. Is it a diy job to raise the car back up? I would like it to be the standard ROW height.
Does anyone know what the standard front and rear height should be and where its measured from?
Yes, easy to do yourself. There is one caveat however, and it depends upon how the rear spring perches / rear anti roll bar mount were setup. You may find yourself having to remove the rear damper to further adjust rear ride height.
Post a picture of the rear dampers once you get it home. Congrats on the purchase!!

thanks in advance....
Congratulations on the purchase. You will LOVE it. Answers to your questions can be found at p-car.com. Check out the Suspension FAQ's part. You'll need to scroll down quite a way, but all the various heights are given there, as well as a description of where everything's measured from.
Keep in mind that you might/will need to do a corner weight balancing if you change the ride height. You could get away without one if you feel the car handles very well after the changes, but just keep it in mind if it does not.
