993 vs 996 which to buy and why?

First I must admit I spoke too soon and probably jinxed my deal, no Turbo S coming.
After having 7 911 cars over the past 23 years I got used to the feel and sound of the air cooled cars. The 997 does it all better quieter and with less fuss, but is that what it is all about. I also ride a Harley and older Evo and not a Honda Goldwing, not because the Harley is better engineered. If you want the best engineering any company produces arguably one should always buy their latest.
What the old stuff has is soul, no it won't bite you with oversteer unless you do something really dumb but what it will do is let you be more of the driver.
Hope this makes some sense to you.

I was in your exact position last year at this time.
I like the looks of the 993.
I like the fact that I could buy a 5K mile car in a 996tt
Both cars are monsters
996 is more modern.
After so many 911's I was ready for modern.
Black 996tt and never looked back
Car is awesome
