Congrats. I'll be watching your mods with interest. I'm particularly interested in suspension and short shifter.
I should have mine in early Dec. There are so many Cdns buying cars in the US right now, that transport is tougher to arrange.

Thanks guys. Very excited now. I am picking up the car in Dallas on Friday afternoon. Like some kind of sick packrat I have managed to squirrel away a maintenance kit, Ultimate Pedals, good used rear interior panels (ones in car have scratches), track tires just in case it ever gets taken to the track(!), some spare hollow spokes, spare set of K16 centers, and will swing by to pick up axl911's M030 springs on the way home.

Just got back home with it. About a 250 mile drive from Dallas. I was able to pick up the ROW M030 springs from axl911 on the way out and got to check out his sweet looking 993 RS-style car. Perfect ride height on his.
Initial impressions - I can't believe how tight the car is for being 10 yrs and 75k miles old. All the switchgear and latches have a durable, quality feel. Sport seats are wonderful. Handling is good, but a lower ride height and more aggressive alignment is going to make it great. The power is very, very smooth. Full boost by about 3500 rpm. It feels like it is getting more than .8bar. A little investigating is in order this weekend. The only thing it lacks compared to my 997's is the ergonomics - the control layouts are not as intuitive nor are they as easy to reach. Other than that the car feels familiar and welcoming, like slipping on a pair of your favorite shoes or jeans. Some washing is in order, and pics to come tomorrow.
