About to pull the trigger..
but for some reason am having serious reservations..
1996 993tt, adventurine green with gray interior, 55k miles, aftermarket warranty, 19" HRE wheels with brand new tires, plus stock wheels, Protosport maintained and upgraded..talked with John he figures car is 525 hp, H&R coilovers, new clutch, new brakes, excellent conditon.
Any ideas on value of this car? I can't figure out how much value the warranty would add. Argghh, I need to stop talking myself out of this car, and just buy it. lol.

As someone FAMOUS on this board says....
ANY colour with the word "URINE" in it - just shouldnt be on a Porsche!

OTOH - if YOU like it - BUY it!! If you want a modified car - check out Scotts car - I still am amazed it hasnt sold!!
BOL,
Simon.

Alright, I pulled the trigger. Next step PPI, which should take place Thursday. And yeah seriously cold feet. The color adventurine green sounds bad, but it is absolutely stunning and I think an asset when resale time comes around.
I can't remember all what John from Protosport said had been done, we talked about a lot in that conversation, I do remember revised ecu, diverter valves, air induction, exhaust, ...also, when the man who installed the parts and tuned the car says 520-525hp, I generally tend to believe him, but maybe he is being generous. Either way, should be a fun car tuned by a reputable shop!!

Scott, lol, we finally agreed on a deal pending the PRE-purchase inspection.
On a side note, if I still lived in Camarillo, I would have bought yours. It looks to be an amazing car with all the right mods. But luckily for me this one popped up in my neck of the woods. Good luck again with your sale.

Congrats on the car. Despite the fact that I was the one that mentioned the "urine" being in Adventurine, I really like the color. There is a local guy out here (Rob) with a Urine 993TT, and it is stunning and gets lots of attention. Lets have some pictures!
Thanks much for the kind words. After another night of sleeping on it, my feet have gone from ice cold to luke warm. Getting pretty excited!! My wife still isn't exactly happy about it, but that is a whole other story.
According to the folks I've spoken with, the mods actually have no affect on the warranty.

One word of caution - aftermarket warranty companies absolutely forbid mods and it is overtly written in their contracts that mods will void the claims!
I had warranty gold on my E36M3 and had about $15k in warranty work covered. This was only b/c my shop took the time to work with the warranty company to cover the claims and never mentioned about any mods. Even non-stock sized tires are considered mods. Last claim was for a tranny leak and the adjuster actually came by to see the car and immediately voided the warranty - the car was pretty tweaked...
