Default Life Expectancy

Of the cars and their parts...not owners...

As I learn more about these cars and pursue buying one - I want to learn about the mechanicals. Is there a site that breaks down what type of repairs/rebuilds etc can be expected at certain mileage points? I'd be curious when a typically driven TT motor typically needs a rebuild? Clutch? Turbos? brakes? Tires? etc....

Mostly so I can gauge where a car stands - relating price and mileage to expected upcoming maintenance events.

And other typical weak points - window regulators? power steering, whatever, etc etc....

Thanks for any input

the awnser is "it all depends" when searching for one of these cars, so much depends on pedigree. Where did it come from? how many owners? pampered? Tracked? the awnsers to all those questions create their own set of questions.

Find a car you love and try and find out as much as possible about it. Always get a ppi at a place of your choosing and try to decide with your brain and not your heart. The more information you have about your car the happpier you will be. Good luck
