OFF TOPIC but lots of us are going to the track...

I always wondered what would happen in a case like this one... I feel sorry for the family of these guys. Could it stop some club to organize track days??

This happened at Goodwood a few years ago. Guy in an F-360 (with an instructor in the car) lost it, crashed it and killed himself in the process. Don't believe it caused any interruption in track days there, but they do run them with more emphasis on safety and less tolerance for "bad" behavior than other circuits I've driven here. And the run groups are very small.

This pisses me off. Why do we live in a country of "should've, could've, would've" where we feel the need to place blame and, more importantly, get compensated for every little thing that happens. Its tragic that these two guys died out there but this sh_t is dangerous! There's almost always something that could have been done... we should all just stay in bed (make sure you read the warning label on your mattress).

That settlement is total cr*p. Ben and I were in his CGT one week before this awful accident. I wouldn't have gotten in for a ride unless I'd been open to the inherent risks involved.
