Default wonky digital boost again

I've noticed that my digital boost guage make some odd readings like what's been posted previously by others, who have fixed it with a new boost sensor. It seemsed to improve after cleaning up the connection some, but it's back again. I don't look at it as I also have a mechanical guage. The car seems to run fine. But, is this bad for the car in some way? Does the ecu use this info? Can I just ignore it or should I get a new sensor (I guess I probably should).

The sensor is used only by the OBC; it's not connected to the ECU.

I know about this well, as I have posted the issues I had with mine when I replaced it myself, ended up doing all sort of detective work, but turned out the new sender was faulty. If you have gone to the effort of cleaning the connections, you may as well just replace the sender.

The car will drive fine if you don't want to change the unit, I swapped mine out as I wanted to make sure I was getting the .8 and not running in limp mode.

Good luck
