Default 44K 96TT for $45,000?????

Is $45,000 crazy low price for a 96TT with 44,000 mi that was wrecked and properly repaired?

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Not crazy. "Wrecked" puts the car way at the bottom of the pricing barrel. It may be functionally fine but a seroius accident or a salvage title kills the value.

Default Pricing on 1996 993tt

In a recent Bruce Anderson pricing evaluation in Excellence, a price for a 1996 tt in "good" condition was around $47,000. The price for this one isn't probably too far off from that since he usually feels that major body repairs will reduce the value by about 10%. Kelly Blue Book values for a "fair" condition car for a private party sale is $43,000 and $46,000 for a "good" condition so it probably isn't too far off.

Yes, but Bruce is on crack

Seriously, he is notoriously out of touch with actual market on these cars and 993s in general. Or in denial. Or something.
NADA guide and Kelly are also following some standard depreciation formula that has not matched the market on these cars for years now.

The accident brought this car down to the estimates these sources provide.
Regarding this particular car, I'd sure want to see pics of what happened to it and thoroughly inspect it inside, underneath, etc.

Have a read about this one.
Dealer supposedly took it in on trade for $39K.
Was sold, then not sold, then sold, then not sold......
Last I heard was it left the dealer for $48K.
