Default Interior refresh....and sneak peek at brake upgrades....

Hi Guys,

Well - as ususal, it has been along time coming - but looks as though I am on the home stretch - fior the interior anyway....

Just need to adjust handbrake and get the passenger seat/harness in....

The upgrades include:
Rear Wiper delete
Rear parcelshelf and seat and seatbelt delete
Custom parcelshelf
Custom rear seat cover
Lightweight carpet to the above
Welded in custom 6 bar 1/2 cage
New 6 point Scroth Harnesses
Sub Bar mounting to existing drivers seat (custom due to low seat position)
New Handbrake to match exisitng wheel + gearknob
Custom painted factory GT3 cloth seats

A lot of the work including the seat strip, paint and recover (what a B&#!H) I did myself incuding stripping out and cleaning all of the sound deadening (and I thought the seats was a ****ty job!!!) and helping the trimmer with the rear seat section.

I am really happy witht he results - i was worried i would end up with a slow race car - rather than a fast street car - so i re installed the sound deadening and chose to try and keep it as factory looking as possible.

The brakes have been done - more pics to follow when the car is clean. I have done a shakedown day - and let me tell you I have NEVER experienced brakes like this before.... HAND OF GOD stopping power... All I need to do is redo all of my braking markers now..

Pics attached,

Best,

Simon.

Awesome job

How did you get those calipers to fit!? I 've been looking for a way to do that for years! Did you do just the fronts? They look awesome.

Jay - Thanks!

The brakes were done by my workshop over here.

The front hubs were modified and the rears had to have a one off custom hat made (so the hand brake would still fully function)

The rotors are brembo Race 2 piece slotted 355MM - And yes I did front AND rears...

Simon,

Nice job mate! I'd like to see more pics of the brakes and the seats... I love the custom paint on the back of the seats... when is your next track day?

Feel better and best to everyone.

Jay,

I spoke to the shop yesterday - they are doing a "kit" on the brake upgrade.... Makes me so HAPPY that i paid for everyone else's R&D.....

PM me for info - as they are not sponsors and I am affiliated with them ( I guess??)

Sebastian - Thanks mate - now all I need is the go to go with the stop... My hip pocket needs to recover from this little exercise first though....

Grant - I KNOW you want these brakes too...... Did you get the trimmer sorted?

Toeny - No worries - when I get the carback home and cleaned up - I will take some shots of the brakes and the interior when complete..... it really looks good in the flesh I am happy with the results. Next comp day is in 2 weeks - I have had a shakedown day at the track already - but my braking markers were WAY off..... so still plenty of scope there!!

Thanks mate,

Simon.
