Thanks for the input Chris. I hear the 996tt is more "refined"...but I just can't warm up to them. Now the 997 - sure. But those are out of my league.

97 turbo has been daily driver since bought in July of 98 with 4k miles...now with 208K miles...still smiling

Wow. Incredible. I've heard stories of a 200K+ mile 993tt out in these parts, but thought it was an urban legend.

My brother has a 1990 Coupe Quattro with an RS2 (real) engine in it. Done by 2Bennett here in California. I am not questioning their mechanical ability, which is top notch, but my brother bought a Porsche Turbo because his Audi was always in the shop and my Porsche is not. So based on a pretty small sample, I am going to guess that any Porsche will be a more reliable DD.

I believe he is still on the original clutch and rotors if I am not mistaken. If you do some searching you will see some posts on his mileage and how he has maintained it so well.

yes...208K miles and still original clutch, rotors, pads, turbos...believe it or not

maintained by RMG in Sunnyvale

just went in for 210K service a bit early as needs a new clutch master cylinder (have replaced slave and accumulator)

no track time...daily driver, mostly highway, but also fair amount of city driving

on trans/diff fluid...don't know...leave that to RMG
