Battery dead need advice
I'm a relatively new owner of a 97 C2 coupe. Was out of town for a month and the battery is dead (even the red alarm status lights on the doorsills are not flashing). I haven't tried to open the car manually with the key yet as I'm wary of screwing something up with the alarm system. My Range Rover has certain procedures to reset the kill switch after the battery has died and I figure the 993 must also. I'll have to open the door manually to get to the owner's manual in the glove box. Is there anything I need to know/do when opening it up manually so as not to upset the immobilizer?

Don't use a trickle charger, use a battery tender. (It has some "intelligence" that turns it on and of as necessary.
I have the Porsche one, and it works great. I believe you can get cheaper generic ones.
