Default new 993tt color - champagne

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=250139094968

Not to my taste but it's different from the run of the mill red/silver/black

funny you posted this as i was looking at this ebay auction earlier, not a big fan of the wheels though but love the two tone interior and the champagne exterior looks sweet. Was this a paint to sample?

I like how detailed these dealers are in description. I didn't realize that is the factory sound system hahaha.
the interior is kinda retro...but those light coloured vents on dark back ground look fugly.

Maybe J&J did a front end respray or the like? The paint code on their sticker is LE1U; a quick google reveals that to be a VW paint code (like the sticker says). I wonder if the original owner used that 86 VW color as the sample for Porsche to match?!

Oh yeah, and I don't care for champagne on a 993TT. ANd that car looks like a 4X4 with those wheels. Technically it is four wheel drive but it doesn't need to look like one.

Back in the 80's, my dad had a brand new 1983 Nissan 280ZX in Champagne with burgundy interior and it was beautiful, but not on a 993TT.

Maybe if you blacked out the wheels and brought it down from it's 4x4 height it would be more appealing but can't say I'm a fan of it. I can definately see that color on a v-dub though.

I guess it was a paint to sample car. Looking at the sticker, there are a lot of special order options.

Amazing what taste some people have!
